Sarah Wahid Beaver (she/her) strives to create a nonjudgmental environment where clients are comfortable, respected, seen, and heard. She is passionate about helping others navigate their mental health. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and culturally responsive. Her therapeutic work has primarily focused on depression, anxiety, trauma, and family and relationship dynamics. She has worked with all ages—children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She works from a trauma informed and client centered perspective that focuses on evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Sarah is particularly attuned to the impact of intergenerational trauma, religious trauma, and marginalization on clients’ mental health. As both the daughter of multifaith Bangladeshi immigrants and an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, Sarah brings an intersectional lens to her practice. Her lived experience informs her commitment to mental health equity and allows her to build strong rapport with clients belonging to various backgrounds.
