Kevin Varner sees a diverse population of clients seeking help through transitions and life events, and those seeking healing from the effects of trauma. His clients hold an array of religious beliefs, and Kevin practices unconditional, positive regard while striving to create an atmosphere of open, curious, non-judgmental listening and reflection. He is trained and experienced in working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, LQBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS clients, trauma, grief and loss, and chronic illness. He works with individuals, couples, and groups.

Kevin has experience with clients identifying and recovering from trauma and addiction/compulsion, those who are living with or have been recently diagnosed with HIV, and those who are feeling stuck in a storyline of negativity, fear, and regret. Kevin uses motivational interviewing techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy among others. His approach is eclectic and he believes there are as many ways to look at a problem-saturated story as there are people seeking to move toward and thrive.
